AiCNC is desktop software. For license activation and license management,
AiCNC processes limited technical information as described below.
AiCNC does not collect or upload your machining programs, NC files, drawings,
images, computer name, or other user files for license activation.
1. INFORMATION PROCESSED
------------------------
When AiCNC is activated, or registered for a trial, the following information
may be processed:
- Hardware identification hash
A SHA-256 hash generated from selected hardware and system identifiers
of the computer, such as the Windows MachineGuid, CPU information,
system-volume serial number, BIOS UUID, and motherboard serial number.
The original hardware and system identifiers are NOT transmitted to the
activation server; only the resulting SHA-256 hash is transmitted.
- License key
The license key entered by the user for activation.
- Application version
The AiCNC version, transmitted for license management and support.
- Activation or trial-registration time
The time associated with an activation or an initial trial
registration may be transmitted and stored.
2. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

The information above is processed to:
- activate and validate AiCNC licenses;
- manage authorized license activations;
- register and manage trial use; and
- prevent unauthorized use of the software.
3. TRANSMISSION AND STORAGE
---------------------------
License activation and trial-registration information is transmitted to and
stored on the license server operated by the Publisher, and is used for
license activation, license and trial management, and related technical
support.
4. RETENTION AND DELETION
-------------------------
- Active license records are retained while the corresponding license
activation remains active. For a perpetual license, the activation record
remains stored as long as the activation remains active.
- When an activation is deactivated, the corresponding active activation
record is deleted immediately. Activation records are also deleted when
the associated license is revoked.
- Records of activation changes are retained for up to five (5) years for
license administration, enforcement of activation limits, fraud
prevention, and dispute resolution, and are deleted thereafter.
- Trial-registration records are retained for up to five (5) years for trial
management and to prevent repeated or unauthorized trial registrations, and
are deleted thereafter.
The retention periods above are applied only for the purposes described in
this Notice, and are the Publisher's own operating policy (not a statutory
minimum). When the applicable period expires, the relevant records are
deleted unless continued retention is required or permitted by applicable
law.

applicable law.

CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE
----------------------
This Privacy Notice may be updated when necessary to reflect changes to AiCNC,
its license activation system, or applicable law. The Effective Date above
identifies the current version. The Publisher's full privacy policy, where
provided, is published on the Publisher's website.
